Clarity before your next decision

A free second opinion, with no pressure to proceed.

When a diagnosis or recommended treatment leaves you uncertain, ask a relevant Suncoast specialist to review the available information and help you understand the questions that matter.

Specialist-led review

Your concern is directed to a relevant specialist based on the information available.

Your decision remains yours

An additional perspective helps you ask informed questions without pressure to transfer care.

Records shared with care

Our team explains an appropriate way to provide medical information for review.

When another perspective can help

You deserve to understand your options.

A second opinion can be useful before a major decision, when the diagnosis is complex, or when you still have unanswered questions. It does not guarantee a different diagnosis or treatment plan.

  • Understand a diagnosis in clearer language
  • Review a suggested surgery or procedure
  • Ask whether other care options should be discussed
  • Make sense of reports, scans and previous recommendations
  • Prepare better questions before deciding your next step

How it works

A clear, respectful review process

01

Share the essentials

Tell us the concern, what has already been recommended and what you want clarified.

02

Relevant specialist review

The team routes the request based on the speciality and confirms which medical records are needed.

03

Discuss the perspective

Understand the opinion, ask questions and decide your next step without an obligation to proceed.

Before you begin

A request for clarity, not a commitment.

The free service covers the initial second-opinion request and review discussion. It does not include tests, treatment, procedures, medicines or admission.

No obligation: choose whether and where to continue care.

Honest scope: a definitive opinion may require an examination or additional information.

Clear next steps: any further care and related charges are discussed separately.

This is not for emergencies.

For severe pain, breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness, heavy bleeding or rapidly worsening symptoms, call 080 49773782.

Start your request

Tell us what you want clarified

Nothing is uploaded or sent from this page. After you prepare your request, call our team. They will explain the appropriate way to share medical records.

For urgent or life-threatening symptoms, do not wait for a second opinion. Call emergency on 080 49773782 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Questions patients ask

Before requesting a review

Is the second opinion really free?

The initial second-opinion request and review discussion are free. Any additional consultation, tests, procedures or treatment you choose later are separate and will be explained before you proceed.

Will I need to visit the hospital?

That depends on the medical concern, the available records and the specialist’s clinical judgment. Our team will explain whether an in-person assessment is appropriate.

Does a second opinion replace my current doctor?

No. It gives you another clinical perspective. You remain free to continue with your current doctor, discuss the opinion with them or choose your next step.

How quickly will I receive an opinion?

Timing depends on the speciality, specialist availability and whether the records are sufficient. The care team will set a realistic expectation after reviewing your request.

What if my symptoms are urgent?

A second opinion is not an emergency service. For severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, call 080 49773782 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Still unsure where to begin?

Talk to our team before sharing any medical records.
